Kay Murray
Kay MurrayIndependent Financial Adviser

Kay Murray has lived and worked in the Morecambe area all her life. Educated locally she started working in the Financial Services Industry in 1987. Keen to adhere to industry requirements Kay completed her FPC1, FPC2 and FPC3 exams in 1994 enabling her to achieve the status of Independent Financial Adviser. Since then she has also obtained ‘ER1’ the Equity Release qualification with the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Mortgage Qualification ‘Ce-Map.’

The requirements for higher levels of qualification (QCF4) were introduced by the Retail Distribution Review and Kay obtained her level 4 Diploma with the Institute of Financial Services. In addition she holds the ‘Statement of Professional Standing.’

Kay is director of MWLFS and is also a (non legal) partner in Wright & Lord solicitors. She has extensive knowledge and expertise in Trusts and Inheritance Tax Planning as well as Long Term Care.

With 20 years’ experience behind her she has built up a sizeable bank of loyal clients who receive totally Independent Financial Advice for all their requirements.

Kay enjoys spending time with her family and is an active member of Heysham Golf Club.

Scott Lee
Scott LeeIndependent Mortgage Adviser

Scott Lee was educated at Lancaster Grammar School and has lived in the Lancaster and Morecambe district ever since.

He obtained his first mortgage advice qualification in 1990 and now holds ‘ER1’ the Equity Release qualification along with
‘Ce-Map.’

As an Independent Mortgage Adviser he will search the whole of the market to provide his clients with the most suitable deal for them. He has extensive knowledge in all aspects of the mortgage process and can guide his clients through to completion on their property purchase or re-mortgage.

In addition, Scott is authorised to advise on all mortgage related insurances such as life cover, sickness and redundancy cover and buildings and contents insurance.

He prides himself in giving his clients the best service he possibly can and will happily see them out of hours, in their homes or even visit them at their workplace.

Deborah Masterman
Deborah MastermanIndependent Financial Adviser

Deborah Masterman has lived and worked in the Lancaster & Morecambe area since she was a child. On leaving school she worked for Hayton & Hallam Solicitors in Lancaster and then for the Skipton Building Society and Skipton Financial Services for 36 years where she gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in all aspects of Financial Planning including Pensions, Inheritance Tax planning and Investment Advice.

Deborah retired from the Skipton in August 2015 but decided she still had a role to play in the Financial Services sector and was delighted to be able to join the Wright & Lord Financial Services team in the autumn of 2016.

Deborah is married with one daughter who has recently ‘flown the nest’ and enjoys going on holiday, walking and reading.

Holly Masterman

Holly Masterman has always lived in Morecambe and on leaving Morecambe Community High School she went on to obtain a degree in Classical Studies at the University of Manchester. At the age of 21 she started working for Skipton Financial Services where she gained the CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and is now studying for the CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma and to attain Chartered Status.

Holly enjoys socialising with friends, reading and travelling and in keeping with Wright & Lord tradition, her partner is a member of Heysham Golf Club.
